Filters

Once the Heat Recovery Ventilation System has been commissioned, we recommend that the filters are cleaned as it is likely that any fine dust caused during building will have been captured by the filters and will restrict airflows unless removed. (Depending on conditions this may have to be repeated accordingly).

Every 6 months

Always check filters after 6 months and clean or replace as appropriate.

External Intake Grilles/Roof Vents

Check periodically for dirt and leaves which unless removed will adversely affect your system’s performance.

*If a Ground to Air Heat Exchanger system is fitted please refer to separate instructions for inlet tower maintenance.

Condensate Drain

At the same time as the filters are checked, we recommend that the condensate drain is inspected for any blockages and that the trap is charged with water. Pour a litre of water into the drain to demonstrate that there are no blockages and that the water runs freely. Clean if necessary.
