A site survey is not always necessary, although for some projects it could discern any potential problems that could emerge during the installation. The engineer/surveyor will confirm positions of the heat recovery ventilation unit(s), ducting routes, control panels and air control valves with you on site and relay this information back to the designer. The programme of works and time scheduled will also be established based on the site conditions and progress of other trades on site.
Any changes to the initial proposal will be made following the consultant visit and you will be made aware of any cost implications should there be any changes to the design. With complex buildings, a series of site surveys may be necessary to ensure a smooth and trouble-free installation.
